Screen printing is a durable, high-quality apparel customization technique that pushes ink through a prepared mesh stencil (or screen) onto fabric, making it ideal for high-volume orders. Each color requires a separate screen, producing vibrant, long-lasting, and bold designs on t-shirts, hoodies, and other textiles
DTF is a versatile printing method where designs are digitally printed onto a special PET film, coated with adhesive powder, cured, and heat-pressed onto fabrics. Unlike other methods, DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and dark garments without weeding, offering durable, high-color-resolution results
Sublimation is a customization process that transfers vibrant, full-color designs directly into synthetic fabric fibers using heat and pressure. Unlike screen printing, the ink turns into a gas, bonding permanently with the material at a molecular level.
Vinyl pressing for apparel customization, commonly known as Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), is a popular, versatile method for applying designs, logos, and text to clothing in one color. It involves cutting designs from thin sheets of colored vinyl, removing the excess material ("weeding"), and permanently bonding the vinyl to the fabric using a high-temperature heat press
Embroidery is the process of decorating apparel by stitching designs, logos, or text directly onto fabric using specialized computerized machines and durable thread. It produces a raised, premium, and highly durable finish that is resistant to fading and peeling, making it ideal for branding, uniforms, and personalized garments.
Family owned and operated since 1980, Little Oscar’s was founded in South Haven, Michigan by Mike DeVries and named after his family Dalmatian, Oscar. While working as a South Haven Public Schools math teacher and wrestling coach, Mike recognized a local need for custom team uniforms. With that vision, he invested his savings into a small manual screen printing press and began the business from his family’s basement.
What started as a small local operation quickly grew with the support of his wife, family, and the surrounding community. Over the past 45+ years, Little Oscar’s has become a trusted name in custom apparel, proudly serving schools, teams, businesses, and organizations throughout Southwest Michigan and beyond.
Today, Little Oscar’s continues as a family-run business, now led by Mike’s daughter, Lindy DeVries (Graphic Designer & COO), along with Jennifer Rodriguez (Screen Print Production Manager) and Rowan Merrill (Press Production & Fulfillment Manager). With upgraded, state-of-the-art equipment and a dedicated team, we remain committed to delivering high-quality custom apparel with care, creativity, and consistency.
At our core, we are still the same small-town business built on community, relationships, and pride in our work—and we are honored to continue helping bring your ideas to life.
